The book is based on a real mystery trail around the centre of Oxford, which you can do yourself. Buy the book but do the mystery trail first, as the answers are in the story. However, please note as of October 2025 two of the clues are masked by building work so are difficult to see. You may want to wait until January 2026 before doing the trail, when a prize draw for completing the trail will be announced.

The people of Oxford are gripped by the mystery trail game, suddenly announced on social media. The police struggle to control the crowds and the growing frenzy.

Rachel Keen, a theatre nurse, and John Bamford, a police officer with a gambling problem, are swept up in the excitement. As the game unfolds, a man goes missing from Jericho, and Rachel becomes convinced she has a stalker.

LATEST NEWS: MY NEW NOVEL – THE OXFORD MYSTERY – IS OUT NOW

In 2016, I decided to leave my full-time career to give me time to start writing, alongside a part time job at a local school. I published my first novel, The Lost Years¸ in 2019. I have since published a novel each year: Plutus in 2020, Deadly Connections in 2021, The Sins of the Father in 2022, The Devil’s Code in 2023. I became a full time author in September 2023. My sixth novel, Murder at the Manor was out in September 2024.
